Thank you @vidukon.bsky.social ComCom for having an entire vidshow ready to go so we can check our setups! Trying to figure out how I can watch things on the TV so I can be horizontal and enjoy the the vids pain free is taking a lot more fiddling than you might expect, so I really appreciate it!

This may be my current favorite con. If you enjoy fanvids, you may enjoy this. They do a great job as a hybrid con; I've never felt shortchanged as a virtual member. (Too late for new folks to show up in person this year, but I love a con with a good COVID policy.)

Discord will soon start requiring age verification to access adult content. Not great news! However, as far as we can tell, this shouldn't affect servers not marked as "adult". This means VidUKon's server, where much of the con's social interaction takes place, will still be accessible without ID.

As an FYI to people thinking about going to VidUKon: I’ve booked my hotel and the rates are much less than the official quote given to concom. Refundable rates for one room with two adults with breakfast were £99-£126 per night for Fri-Mon.
