Comparison with the M45 (and FM12) mask versions! The M40/Millennium Valve is a snap-on design made of machined Delrin where the M45 variant was injection-molded glass-filled nylon meant to be permanently glued to the mask. The FM12 version just jams a bunch of parts in the standard speech cone :P
