If there is to be any argument that Christianity serves some sort of good on a societal level, it is this: To make a world in which a teenage mom wouldn’t have given birth in a stable. In which doors would have been open, in which hands would have pulled her inside a home, given her help, comfort.

Christianity is literally a religion whose founding story involves a mother with a newborn baby who needs help. The broken world that Jesus supposedly came to fix is one in which no one would provide a mother and child with shelter, food, and care.
