This is why I make cute and silly stuff, even if some people (including other artists) look down on it as being vapid or less "important". It's the type of art that brings me joy and I want to in turn bring that kind of joy to other people. If it makes you smile or chuckle, it's worth it to me.

When I started Doodlecats in 2011, it was about 75p to send a LARGE letter which most of my parcels are. It's now £3.20. We've had to add in 2nd class options (currently £1.55) to try and give customers more affordable options. It's ridiculous.

Beautiful morning at Portbury Wharf today! We saw two snipe at South Pools plus stonechat, reed buntings, lapwing, oystercatcher, buzzard and more. North pools was mostly gulls (LBB, GBB, BH, herring). Three bullfinch on the way back to the car. #AvonBirds #PWNR

My bees are hatching! These cocoons are from mason bees that were laid in card tubes in on of my bee houses (that is now a robin nest). The card tubes are soaked off so only the cocoons remain and they get to sit in box in the sun where they hatch

Whilst Daz was digging holes in the garden, I was was watching the birds.The robin is one of pair that is nesting in the old bee house on our fence.

Managed a little bit of gardening. We started off teasels from seed last year and Daz has been planting some in the front garden. We get a lot of goldfinches here so figured it would be good to plant on of their favourite foods.

Thought I’d try doing a colour study of this scene from the other day. I haven’t decided what bird to draw next so I’m going to keep working on this for a bit till I decide.

Seeing the cranes fly over us this morning was such an incredible experience. We saw thirteen in total at Slimbridge today. #UKBirding

One of the things I love about WWT Slimbridge is how accessible it is. There’s a few corners that are little tight on my big scooter but I can get to everything and enjoy the birds. It makes me wish everywhere was so accessible.

Anyway I wrote a chapter book about an autistic girl, it's full of small adventures and mysteries and I think it's possibly the happiest book I've ever written.

Just unfollowed a disabled person on instagram who campaigns for better accessibility in nature etc because they started using AI slop. Whyyyyyy alienate the people following you? Ughh

I’m glad I planned on pizza for dinner because my body seems to have forgotten how to body after my osteopath appointment today. I woke up from my nap the wrong way up and so confused. I feel like I’m trying to move through glue.
