Heatwave melted the cat

So weird to be able to open a tin of tuna and not have Arty charging into the kitchen demanding his share. The other two like tuna but Pixie can’t hear tins opening and Molly isn’t a food cat (she likes the same plain biscuits every single day).

We heard a weird buzzing sound whilst we were having dinner. It seemed to be coming from the fire place. I saw something moving… and like a scene from a horror movie… a giant ash covered hornet appeared, looking out through the glass. I am not opening that door.

It’s not often we actually see a sedge warbler, even though we hear them a lot. This one decided to sing from the top of an elderflower bush whilst we were waiting for a bittern to appear (it didn’t). Today at Slimbridge #UKBirding

18 years ago Daz came to my house for the first time (after months of msn chatting). I warned him that Arty was very shy and he might hide. Arty didn’t hide, he instantly liked Daz. Later that day he fell fast asleep on him. That’s how I knew Daz was the one. Arty worshipped Daz all these years.

My bed time routine starts with giving cats meds. I still have to give Pixie meds obviously but Arty turned it into a whole thing. He didn’t need bribing to take tablets, I could get him to take anything. Pixie however, does need bribing so to make it fair, Arty got bribes too, and he loved them!
