Passing through the Portsmouth area today led to a quick stop at Farlington Marshes Nature Reserve. At high tide there were many hundreds of Black-Tailed Godwit, some Redshank, a few Curlew Sandpiper, a Little Stint and so much more. #ukbirding - Portsmouth, 22 September 2025.

Nice high tide scenes at Portishead lighthouse this morning. No birds seen on the rocks, other than a Rock Pipit and Robin. Some black-headed gulls and mallards were bobbing about in the sea nearby.

Who wants some baby frog photos? These are from frogspawn laid on the 18th of February. Their bodies are about half an inch long now and they dont have tails any more.
