ECMWF going operational with AI forecasts is a big deal IMO. Their next steps will be super interesting too! Going operational with a weather model takes huge effort and verification even when you're not changing the fundamental modelling approach everyone's been using for 50-odd years.

Utterly exhausted on a delayed train home after #CIUK heading in to the depths of the South West. Someone sitting opposite with a conference bag. It's like a secret society all melting away until next year.
