This statement is damage control and deflecting: we know the sims will not change and they will not retroactively change anything. We just don't want to give money to EA's new owners, and creators, understandably, don't want to promote their games to make them richer. It's two different things.

I'm genuinely very impressed with James and Plumbella. I hope more will follow. The EACN has not been good for the game and the community in the recent years for many reasons. Seeing big creators make moves like this gives me hope for the future of the franchise!

If there's ever to be a successful boycott of The Sims, it will have to come from within the community. I do think that as a group we have enough power to force change but as long as we let self-interested outside opinions divide us, EA leadership will only continue to benefit at our expense.

So EA's response to the false advertising is that you can add your own pets to the Getaway/CV 🤦‍♀️ We didn't need AA to direct played sims to interact with pets, we can already do that. The whole point of the Schedule system is to control the behaviour of sims *outside* of your own household!
