After EA announced the Sims 4 Marketplace, I joked about making my own "billboard" for CC creators. Well, it works! I finished a framework for main menu override that highlights free community content for PC/Mac. It updates automatically and I’ll be opening sign-ups for free creators soon!

Oh boy… 😬 The Sims 4 marketplace situation gets worse. EA left out some details when recruiting creators. One bit of good news is it’s still possible for them to back out, as simandy and at least one other person have done. And the keeping it “our little secret” tactic sounds childish. Sheesh!

infact, EA will ALREADY have your money. If you buy $10 of Moola, you've given EA $10. When you spend your "Moola", they pass on whatever 30% of the Moola you spent would be worth.

Don't get it twisted. The Marketplace is PURELY a way for EA to control who is making money off of any additional content made for the Sims 4. It is not about finding a way to support CC creators, it's about making sure if anyone is profiting from the community it is EA first.
