The Toree Plush from Arcade Woah!!! for real?!

Played through Button City this weekend. An incredibly cute and charming game. Loved the juxtaposition of the bright and colorful world against quiet grounded tragedies. Some of the quests are a bit egregious with how much back and forth they force on you, but it wasn't a deal breaker.

Watched Inland Empire yesterday, and I'm still reeling from how funny it was to have some girl ease her way from camera left and ask "who is she?" about half way through the film. Wanted so bad for that to became a motif for the rest of the movie.

After watching this movie, I tried to explain it to my partner. Eventually, I realized my prose was failing, and so I turned it on, just to show them one scene, but we put it at 2x speed to get there faster. And that's how I accidently watched Megapolis twice back to back.

Shit part of devs using gen AI for their marketing regularly now is that friends and I are becoming weary about all marketing art not matching the game art. In past it would have been presumed to be commissioned, now fearing possible gen AI. Specially since Steam is relying on self reporting.

I think people underestimate their ability to help support a game just by telling a friend about it. If I hear a designer talk about their game, I'm not usually convinced. If my friend Will tells me to check out a game, I'm looking. Your words, oftentimes, are just as powerful as your wallet.

Been playing through Persona 4 for first time. 50 hours in and only just collected the whole cast. Oof. But the game has been inspiring me to dream about the Paranormal Investigation Club girls fervently.

Played 'Espirito Delusion' today. A rough around the edges bite sized RPG. Containing one handcrafted dungeon full of 3 puzzles and 3 bosses, with plenty of cut scenes sprinkled throughout. Good way to spend 90 minutes or so. store.steampowered.com/app/3560420/...

Small thing I'm proud of with Bone Fire Effigy is the language option. It's just google translations for now, but getting a proper localization for each major language is just finding the right people to work with... and having the money to afford their service. Hopefully GT suffices till then.
