My new favourite band, superb alt- country/folk vibes, highly recommended!

Can’t recommend this one highly enough, brilliant tunes with superb lyrics by Pete’s mate Clive James (yes, that one….)

Artists/ bands with most albums in my collection; Bevis Frond/ Dylan/ Neil Young/ Robyn Hitchcock/ REM/ The Fall/ Hawkwind.

Only just caught up with this though it was released in April, album of the year for me, so far. Top notch songs superbly played. If you like GramParsons/ Burrito Brothers, Gene Clark etc, do yourself a favour and check it out!

Excellent second album from band best known for “that” hit single… yes… you know the one… Some superb tunes on here.

Not played this one in donkeys years,for me the best of the mod revival bands… actually, calling them mod revival cheapens them … it’s just a fucken great rock n roll record!!

I’m becoming slightly obsessed with this band, their album sleeves are largely pretty awful but… oh man… the music is wonderful, a cocktail of psychedelia, folk rock and even a touch of prog here and there. Highly recommended….

Almost certainly the best photo I have ever taken through a hole in an old tree trunk of a stranger's dog leaping joyfully along the foreshore of an estuary.

Kicking off this evening’s tunes with this beauty, the title track always reminds me a bit of Neil Young circa “On the beach”, no bad thing Imo.

The local badgers appear to have struck a coal seam! Pixie’s not sure what to make of this….

Tonight’s tunes: excellent melodic psych/ prog from ‘73, supported Led Zeppelin, Mott etc back in the day, tipped for success but never quite made it, Highly recommended!

Haven’t played this in ages, for me the greatest ever prog album, Peter Hammils’s gorgeous melodies fight to be heard over the insane racket made by the rest of the band. Truly,a masterpiece!
