Yesterday I set off in the ambulance from North Warwickshire and Bedworth on my three day trip to deliver aid and supplies to Ukraine. Here's what happened.

From North Warwickshire and Bedworth to Ukraine. 1500 miles. 3 ambulances. Desperately needed supplies. It was an honour to be asked to drive a retired ambulance full of aid across Europe to the Ukrainian border by local business LKQ Euro Car Parts, as part of their enormous fundraising appeal.

I'm delighted the government has accepted my amendment to make hate crimes against LGBT+ and disabled people aggravated offences, and will now table an amendment in the House of Lords to make it happen. Here's a bit of my speech on why this change is so important:

Today I spoke in the debate on the Terminally Ill Adults (End of Life) Bill. I remain of the view that the status quo is unacceptable, and I have listened to constituents who have told me they want to see a change in the law.

I’ve tabled NC122 to the Crime and Policing Bill to make hate crimes against people because of their sexual orientation, transgender identity or disability an aggravated offence. We must treat these offences with the seriousness they deserve. Please ask your MP to sign NC122.
