At an event in Parliament this week, launching a new Disability Policy Centre report on accessible voting, we stressed the need for audio and tactile voting solutions in polling stations to enable voters with sight loss to vote independently and in secret.

This week, RNIB's Lewis, Terri, and Erik delivered a Design for All webinar to over 188 members of the Institution of Civil Engineers. The webinar looks at how blind and partially sighted people navigate the built environment, and how public spaces could be safer and more inclusive.

We welcome reports that more than three-quarters of older people in England and Wales will be entitled to the Winter Fuel Payment from this year. Previous changes in entitlement to the Payment had left many blind and partially sighted older people anxious about meeting energy costs.
