#tacos Just ran across this article. This is one of our favorite places to eat in Tucson. A great family runs it and the food is superb. MAGA threatened there would be taco 🌮 trucks on every corner and this is a reason why that would be so wonderful. 🌮 💕

#blooms #cactus These are a variety of cereus cactus. They bloom overnight and in another hour by 8am today they will be closed. One of the most beautiful cactus blooms in the world IMHO. A red fruit will develop which is very popular with rodents and birds.

Tucson. This is half an hour before scheduled start at the beginning of the 8 Mile protest way down at the corner of Wetmore and Oracle. It's jammed. We're up about a third of a mile from that and the sidewalks are starting to fill up. Wind is blowing hard, bad pix sorry.

#bloom This is our state tree the palo verde (green stick). There are 3 varieties in the Tucson area that bloom in succession, these are foothills palo verdes and because they are at the edge of the road get a bit more water. This is what our Tohono O'odham neighbors call the "yellow season". 💛💛

#cactus One of my favorites, a black spined prickly pear, is starting to pop! Big rose-like yellow blooms with orange throats. The bees love them. Of course the bees moved out when I went in to take pictures🐝❣️.
