Same. I had two small kids, teaching online was exhausting. I could only record lectures when they were in bed. Seminars with a bunch of letters on screen instead of actual people broke me. And the archives were shut and no international travel meant I couldn’t see my sick dad or do any research.

It's great that Harvard wrote a letter but please remember that they have *already* complied with the trump administration by removing the directors of the Center for Middle Eastern Studies and severing a formal relationship with a Palestinian university. Actions speak louder than letters.

This is a good time to share that I edited essays for a special issue of Asian Affairs that was published as an edited book by #Routledgehistory this year. Includes essays on #Partition and the war of 1971 to better understand debates on belonging and citizenship in #SouthAsia today.
