We had booked in for a tour of the house without realising the appropriateness of the date. It's an impressive piece of conservation, our guide was excellent, and there were a million brilliant little details to discover and digest over beers after.

Something of an accidental mini-Oktoberfest for us yesterday; all three @lostlagers.bsky.social / Right Proper 'Senate' beers — recreations of old recipes from DC's historic Heurich brewery, in the Biergarten behind the founder's mansion.

Crooked Run late night happy hour:

The nice thing about Henceforth’s rooftop Sunset Happy Hour is that you can get a hot dog and a house-brewed cream ale, ESB or IPA for $10. The even better thing is that it runs until 8 p.m. Wed-Sun – a nice excuse to visit the H Street brewpub on a weekend. They’ll even provide the sunscreen.

There’s a lot going on today in DC, but if you’re out and about stop by Atlas Brew Works in Ivy City - I’m slinging hot sauce, dried ramp powder, spoons, and more! 2-6!
