Momentarily back to say to my fellow Gooners: I'm still watching and supporting (of course). And Arsenal against Fulham, especially the first half, was wonderful! 🥰 When I saw the line-up, I had a good feeling (even if I prefer Mosquera at RB). Didn't want to jinx it by saying anything though! 😛

Dear all, Seemingly every time I have a quick look at Bluesky, I see replies from accounts I've hitherto never interacted with accusing me of being a Nazi because I am still on Twitter. In all honesty, seeing them is not making me want to return to Bluesky.

Amazingly, there are just a handful of reviews of "Cageman" (Hong Kong, 1992) over at the Internet Movie Database. So here's doing my bit to help get the word out about this great film.

Have now seen 9 films at the Hong Kong International Film Festival. BTW, I viewed my favourite thus far, Taiwan White Terror-era "A Foggy Tale", from a circle seat at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre's Grand Theatre. Like I previously memorably did for "Hotel Rwanda" and "Bubble Fiction: Boom or Bust".

When I saw the Arsenal lineup vs Southampton, my heart sank. Yes, 2nd string Gunners should be too good for any Championship team. But after his Mansfield Town debacle (and, actually, after his Wolves post-game head loss), Gabriel Jesus shouldn't be leading the line. And yikes re Ben White!😢

Funyassyi is a Cat Pear (Fairy) that has been described as Funassyi's pet. This despite their being around the same size. In any case, Funassyi does treat the playful Funyassyi (Funya for short) with affection. Their interactions are fun to watch. And yes, they're in Funassyi Park in this video! 😊

My Hong Kong International Film Festival-ing began with an Iranian film (Saeed Roustayee's "Woman and Child"). The 2nd day's viewing included Lana Daher's "Do You Love Me" (Lebanon, 2025). I do think viewing films from there helps me to see the humanity of people from these countries.

On a visit to see the old "Hong Kong Story" with my mother, security guards stationed there, unprompted, shared anecdotes re items on exhibit that they been part of their lives/childhood. That old exhibition brought joy and connection to people. So of course the government had to destroy it. 😔
