Do I go to a ton of different stores all the time? No. But even a couple of years ago even my grocery store had pride displays. I was at the bookstore yesterday and there weren't even any queer books on the new book display. Not a single one.

I also have a weird thing where if I like a show/movie too much, I can’t really rewatch it? Like I’ve only seen Fallout season 2 once because I enjoy the show so much….so I can’t rewatch it? It doesn’t make sense to me either…

There are no homeless shelters on my end of town and so we are supposed to operate as warming shelters and cooling centers while not being able to let people sleep/eat in the building. But the city can excuse not devoting resources to ending homelessness because they can just go to the library.

The thing I wish more people understood about library work is that we are expected to be everything. We are customer service and education and outreach and social work and job help and a homeless shelter and still the public thinks we read all day and so many of us don’t make a living wage.
