I went to see Project Hail Mary, based on a recommendation from one of my students. From the first contact scene onwards, I cried, and cried, and cried, and cried. And then I cried some more. This was genuinely funny and genuinely moving. And it looked great too.

We've been reading through Arthur Ransome's books, as a gentle, positive end to the day. Today we went and found some of the locations.

Sunday dinner

One of my favourite things about the run up to xmas is me & my brother spotting, photographing & sending one another pictures of VERY heavily decorated houses. We affectionately call it 'tacky wrongness' I'm not keeping up my end at the minute... I need to find some. This is what he's sent me. 😍
