reading negative user reviews for system shock 2 is so funny, most of them complain about the horrifically unbalanced classes and skills and it's like haha, yeah.

ya girl finished the remaster in one sitting again lmao. legally this time. weee! same feelings as the last run on the package itself, in a vacuum. HD model oddities aside, it's a fine way to experience the game, akin to what a modded install would be. the vault is a nice touch and high FPS is neat

man, regardless of the package, i just love system shock in general. preference for 2 aside, both games remain essential blueprints for the genre-bending RPGish approach of modern FPSes yet still completely upstage most of them through sheer art direction and atmosphere alone.

every time i learn about a streamer existing it's because they're either on or past the precipice of public disaster.

There's been a lot of people asking for the System Shock Remake thumbnail so here's the two versions. One is slightly brighter on the edge but the other is darker so might be better for a wallpaper or something.

while i'm perfectly fine with remakes/remasters existing alongside the original game, i wish publishers wouldn't hold said original hostage with them when it was previously a separate purchase. the otherwise good system shock 2 remaster did it, which i wasn't aware of at the time. rubbish.
