The NTSB had a meeting today on the probable cause of the mid-air collision in Washington D.C. last January between a passenger jet and a Blackhawk helicopter. "We should be angry, because for years no one listened. This was preventable, this was 100% preventable."

A comment from the NTSB chief at the ALPA conference yesterday really resonates in light of recent events. Jennifer Homendy said the media’s push to have immediate answers after an accident is a real problem & not helping. She’s right, and it needs to change.
