Just to add some more detail: they announced the lockout halfway through the voting period and now have shut down access to email over a day before voting was set to close. The voting key and instructions were sent to our Dal emails.

The reputational risk to #Dalhousie University from its misguided and ill-considered lockout of Faculty is massive. A glance at the Board makeup, mainly corporate types, makes me worry they may have no idea what makes a successful University, what Faculty do, and why.

Dalhousie U just locked out their faculty during a labour dispute about our contracts. The vote by faculty on whether to accept Dalhousie's final offer does not even close until tomorrow. They have blocked our access to email, MSTeams, online journals etc. A first for Canadian universities.
