Society is divided into (a) a class that owns the means of production and (b) a class forced to sell their labour to (a). A faction of (b) sells their labour telling (b) that this is the best of all possible worlds. Any other take is simply that faction of (b) doing the dirty work of (a).

Middle class climate delusions. Climate campaigners, decision-makers and researchers insist on using images such as these to portray our net zero 2050 future. Such portrayals of a future free of climate impacts are incorrect, and leave us ill prepared for the changes we need to make. 1/2

The workers have no interest in the middle class climate agenda. The reason is simple; picture an Amazon delivery driver. What does net zero mean to her? The same alienating, precarious poorly paid work, but now driving an electric van instead of an ice one.
