No, SARS-CoV-2 isnāt a little bit airborne. Itās not āsituationallyā airborne. Itās an AIRBORNE VIRUS, spreads via the air. Iām granting an amnesty on people who said (5y ago) that it wasnāt. I wonāt say I told you so if you finally acknowledge the evidence. Letās just get this right and move on.

A 67 year old amputee and wheelchair user lived with his son who had cerebral palsy. They were killed in the Eaton fire while waiting for an ambulance that never arrived. Many disabled people can not evacuate on their own. They need to be included in evacuation plans (yet almost never are)

Vic DH restarted Covid reporting: "The number of people in hospital with COVID-19 has increased this week. The 7-day average is 191 (week ending 07 January), compared to 165 last week." Deaths are no longer reported-now only avail thru ABS data. Wastewater was switched off June 2024. Happy new year.

Iād love to see more research on how Covid infections in infants affect speech and motor skills as toddlers. My 9mo was babbling & make sounds for certain words, we all got covid (his temp was over 105 at one point) and it all stopped by the time he was 1yr and he needed speech therapy to catch up

Itās also your right to ask for a social worker or nurse supervisor if you feel youāre not being taken seriously. Everyone makes mistakes - ER staff included. No one will fight for your life as effectively as you will - so if you think something is missed donāt be afraid to speak up /14

If your condition changes while youāre waiting - tell someone. Pain increased? Suddenly dizzy or nauseous? Make sure you inform the triage nurse. Itās also your right to ask for a reassessment if you feel something has changed. /12

If you have complex chronic illness - bring a list of conditions, medications & specialist names/numbers. If youāve had recent concerning test results - consider bringing a copy of these as well ERs are stressful and it helps to have everything documented & easy to reference /11

If at all possible - take someone with you. Have an advocate. This serves a practical purpose like having someone to watch your stuff while you go to the bathroom - but they can also run and get help if you need it and advocate for the care you require. /10

Itās been a fundamental step to make science more democratic! 100% yes regarding transparency re negative or doubtful results. Science is dynamic. Keep the wonderful work, mainly nowadays with pseudo science gaining support. Science do need to reach all by using approachable language.
