Doing some historical research for a project and while it's an obvious point that we all "know" in some sense, it's bracing and shocking to be reminded of just how violent a place America has been throughout its history.

Klein should be embarrassed by this interview. It was already evident from his recent writing that he has no moral compass. But I didn’t expect his repeated rejection of historical context, epitomized by this moment. He just threw his credibility down the memory hole he wants to exist in.

I was telling someone this just a couple weeks ago: Klein is every smug, entitled dude in grad school who has been told their entire life that their ideas are amazing because they’re theirs … and shows up to class trying to argue with you without having completed the assigned reading. Infuriating.
