Treaties are federal law. As a signatory to the 1949 NATO treaty, the U.S. is barred by law from attacking another NATO member. Therefore, an order to draw up plans to attack Greenland is an illegal one. Military leaders are obligated to disobey illegal orders. Lawyers correct me if I'm wrong.

If the NYTimes and Washington Post knew the day *BEFORE* the attack on Venezuela and kidnapping of Maduro - so did Putin. Whether directly or from that make-believe SCIF in MAL. That Maduro and Venezuelan military were not tipped off is consistent w/this bargain discussed by Fiona Hill in 2019.

Immigration is incredible because it's one of the few policy areas where people are willing to suffer real, concrete consequences in order to solve completely imaginary problems.

This man ripped off teachers, nurses, small business owners - people from all walks of life and professions. Some lost their life savings. Not only did Trump let him out of prison, he also doesn’t have to pay back the victims.

This is all true but 1) under no definition are we currently at war with Venezuela under domestic US law 2) since we aren’t, the initial strike was just as much a murder as the follow up The failure to understand this by a huge range of actors is really driving me up the wall.

I get that this latest revelation is a big deal, but let’s not lose sight that it was a crime to begin with.
