I’m having a pretty good week so far. Started off in Manchester meeting up with librarian colleagues from across the globe. Met the impressive @deradam.bsky.social in real life (who rescued me from a lift). Only more day at work then it’s a long weekend off.

"Create a journal for replication work". 🙄 This comes up time again as if there aren't existing places to put replications. PLOSOne will taken them, plenty of other journals will, and bioRxiv has had an article type called "Confirmatory Results" since we launched in 2013!

I think a big part of the reason some people love bikes and other people hate bikes is this shared understanding that the bicycle itself is a symbol of rebellion and anti-establishment independence.

Just had a flick through the ‘Top 100 Scholars’ in the ScholarGPS citation rankings. Only one is female and she died in 2017.
