By god she's done it again. This one especially great because I've read the book, and it Jenny covers an absolute freight train of a scene that just comes out and slaps you in the face. And one that is intensely wound into the characterisation of both leads.

look. look. potentially the most excruciating thing i've had to do in Publishing thus far was send emails (several. emails.) to folks asking them to read (and potentially praise 😱) my book. it worked out. and i got to gush about THEIR books in the process, which was easy. but oh dear god.

The Wisconsin Gothic series kept popping up on my most reliable sources of book recs – including @feliciadavin.com’s excellent newsletter – which usually augurs well. I read all 4.5 current titles in the past week and had a great time.
