As someone who's written Bloodshot, this sucks. Alien Books has said that "Going forward, all scripts will undergo a more intense review by our proof readers", this is not a "proof reader" issue. It's a writer/editor problem. The sentiment was intentional by a writer and went unchecked by an editor

People throw around the term "purity test" like it's somehow a bad thing to have boundaries about who you are willing to be in a coalition with. It is good and healthy to be choosy about who you fight for freedom alongside, and apartheid/genocide is exactly where those red lines should be drawn.

Which is to say: sometimes you just have to act on principle, consequences be damned. And this only gets MORE true the bigger and more complex the problem is.
