Not a 1000lb charge. Interesting the booms behind didn’t work. Probably purely to counter USV and not anchored to the bottom to stop divers. Placement of charge is odd as well. That’s a phenomenally thick concrete base.

Several raids on the Royal Navy amphibious landing force at San Carlos were conducted starting 21 May 1982 and we will take a deep dive into those that targeted HMS Argonaut including one flown by a young Argentine Naval Aviator in an Italian built jet trainer! Epic stuff.

And remember if Gripen is indeed a possibility again, then depending on the avionics fit and weapons provided (ie- Meteor), the Ukrainian fighter force would be able to challenge the glide bomb carriers from the air. 2/

See your PC mouse? It started here with Type 984 radar. This was absolutely cutting edge in its day. It had track whilst scan, an integrated plot to present data clearly on a tactical display, and prototypes used the new trackerball technology (though production sets went to joystick).

The Comprehensive Display System that was integrated into the radar can be regarded as the first combat system. Interestingly it didn’t use just use track numbers as we would understand, but presented a raw radar display with additional information presents as two digit codes.

No idea what kind of tech may be behind this claim but "shooting down" a glide bomb is no small thing, keep an eye on this one. 1/ bsky.app/profile/maks...

Three rigs on his track. Interesting as he’s doing a north /south trace. There’s a Russian deep sea trawler to the north and a German submarine is operating somewhere in this vicinity. Dropped below 4000 feet for a look at something. Might be a CASEX against the German boat. /1

If he starts to circle or fly a box like track, that slowly drifts, then he has detected a submarine and is localising him. Would not be surprised if there’s a NATO escort out there playing as well if that’s the case. Lots of people find ASW boring but it’s the ultimate chess game in my opinion /2
