That’s a good point. They blame only her for every “controversy” as if they aren’t equally responsible for how they react. They call us the parasocial ones when they expect her to always have the demeanor of a parent or counselor who sugarcoats things for their sake.

The transgender experience is so NOT a monolith that anyone who thinks I’m ever attempting to speak for the whole community is greatly mistaken. While a lot of people identify with my experience as a trans woman, I definitely wouldn’t say it’s the norm.
