I was thinking about my gender thread, the Alastor ace discourse, and a non-Hellaverse post I just saw and cannot sleep so this is a ramble but I think there's benefits in moving away from using language like "representation" to using "visibility" more.

The notion that a minority "represents" their entire group puts impossible pressure onto that character or person. But bringing "visibility" to the lived experience of one person from that group is much more doable and still productive for that group.
