Rewatched the Cannon doc last night for the first time since it was released. I remember it left me with a bad taste in my mouth, and watching it again, it had the same effect on me. A really nasty, mean-spirited, joyless doc that reveals a lot more about the interviewees than Cannon films.

Growing up my family went from poverty to wealth once my father graduated from med school. Something I learned was that poor people tended to have great style when it came to clothes & home decor, because they had to do a lot with a little. Rich people had the most godawful taste you could imagine.

Had a fantastic day on the set filming our Hitchcock parody. I don't think we've done that many costume changes in a single day (One of our thespians, Lydia Kapp, had 10 costume changes!) Amazing performances from all the actors, and an heroic job by the crew as we moved at breakneck speed!

Tomorrow we film our Hitchcock parody. And because it's one of his 1950s films (and because I'm clearly mad as a box of frogs) I purchased a Carl Zeiss Jena Tessar 50mm lens, which was produced between 1950/1954, on eBay for 90 bucks. Why? Who the hell knows. It seemed like a good idea at the time.
