Went to the supermarket today and an older woman was standing in front of the entrance telling everyone "Jesus is coming back". And this wave of sadness hit me because I could see they are just lonely people who have wasted their lives waiting for an old lover to return. Fuck, I'm depressed now.

Had our first preview show of Private Lives tonight. It was just one of those magical experiences you have as a director when you look at everything finally together, you hear the audiences reaction, and you think, "I had a part in this." That's one of the best feelings in the world.

Now who can argue with that? I think we're all indebted to Gabby Trump for clearly stating what needed to be said. I'm particulary glad that these lovely children were here today to hear that speech. Not only was it authentic frontier gibberish, it expressed a courage little seen in this day & age.
