it makes me really sad to see ordinary people defending (and worshipping) billionaires. there are no ethical billionaires! yes, even if they’re a woman! full stop!

AND ALSO making and sharing memes is not resistance. If your resistance consists of texting memes, you aren't helping. You aren't doing anything but circle jerking and/or stressing put your marginalized friends (if you have any). There are countless Things you can do to ACTUALLY help:

Hey, as a librarian I need to tell you: Our funding depends on usage. So go ahead and check out that book even if you don't think you'll finish it. No one will know. Check out that DVD even though you might not like it. Get ambitious in your quest for knowledge.

We need journalists who aren't afraid to ask tough questions of trans activism. For example: All the major trans and LGBTQ+ organizations have been led by dependable, fall-in-line Democrats. Has that tream-player, don't-rock-the-boat strategy led to gains or losses for the community recently?

Unbound/Boundless owes me $15k+ on a book that in its first royalty reporting cycle had sold around 3k copies of its 5k copy print run of which I have not seen a single penny. They also haven’t even reimbursed me for postage costs I incurred mailing out the arcs in the US at their request
