The Mario movie was both terrible and wonderful at times but that doesn't matter because our 3 year old loved it.

Well, this game is phenomenal. Played it 5 times already. The sense of urgency and ability to tip the scales in your favour or pivot strategies is really quite magic. A fantastic solo design and opponent, though the rulebook for it is ... not good. FAQs and forum posts helped me see the light tho.
