My mood during furry cons and events in 2025:

a big reason the Disney thing is important is that in the most visible fight the administration has picked, a fight they celebrated winning, ended up as a loss. it's embarrassing and demoralizing. it also shows non-political folks that the pendulum can swing back. that emboldens all of us to fight.

Disney paid $16 million to Trump to settle a bogus lawsuit involving George Stephanopoulos. Disney fired Terry Moran for calling Stephen Miller a “world-class hater.” Disney suspended Jimmy Kimmel. That Disney has walked back one of those after immense public pressure doesn't change who they are.

Honestly, what Kimmel SHOULD do is tell Bob Iger to kiss his ass. He's getting back on the air, which kinda gives Disney an easy out from this, because most folks will probably just resub now that they effectively got the outcome they wanted. Kimmel has the opportunity to REALLY fuck them over.
