The tinted charcoal arrived! As a big fan of muted/desaturated colors, I'm very happy with how they look. Expect some art using them soon.

Update on the Multiplane camera project. The new acrylic panes have arrived! These are much larger and thicker than the old ones. This time I will use CAD software to plan out the build rather than just winging it like I've been doing. I've never used CAD before so it may take some time.

I've been making recordings of classical music in my spare time for use in future projects/streams. So far I've just recorded Satie's Gnossiennes 1-3. Does anyone have any suggestions for their favorite public domain pieces (i.e. published prior to 1931)?

Still working on this btw. It's now matching Blender 5 & Godot 4 plugins. The goal with two plugins is to maintain a consistent visual style between the two software when making retro graphics.

Attempt #3 at prototyping a desktop sized Multiplane camera. MANY oversights in this one, but it was incredibly informative for my next attempt. I need bigger acrylic sheets. Once I prototype a decent build, I'll try to make and share a 3D printed version.

Mesmalie Update: Spent a lot of time polishing since the last status update. Watched 3 friends play through a complete route. Deep in production of the next chunk of the game... I think once this part is complete, I can begin discussing a release date :)) Fingers crossed for these next few months,!

Spent an embarrassingly long time building a shader in blender that gives 2D planes a double outline. It has a crazy side effect if you intersect two planes that I kinda mess with heavy. Causes an almost shadow-casting effect.

Some scans I did recently. Major stuff for streaming and Toymaker as a character being worked on right now. I won't lie I started chasing a few major ideas a month ago and that's why I've been absent.

BORING NERD UPDATE!!! Using spare parts since PC prices are awful, I set up a home server/lab! This is the groundwork for a lot of cool web/streaming projects I've been working on. Namely I've been planning to finish serenitydev.net.

Been learning how to make blender add-ons, my goal is to make an add-on that handles all the boring dial turning of making retro graphics for consoles like the PS1 and N64 I'll post some more frequent updates when I get into the fun visual things.

I don't want to spoil too much about it, but I just added a feature where chatters can go insane. When they do, random "insane" messages are tacked onto the end of their sentences.

In 24 hours (1:00 PM EST | 7:00 PM CET) I'll be streaming Lobotomy Corporation! This is one of my favorite games ever, but I've never beaten it. Chatters will be randomly assigned a department and character design, you'll also be tasked with researching your own abnormality, more on that later.

I bought a scanner! I have big plans on using traditional art for some upcoming stream assets so I got one. Overall very happy with how things turn out in it. Here's a scan of that old drawing I did of Toymaker, I have a lot of drawings of her I need to scan lol.

The voting period for mini jam 198 has ended! My game got 28 ratings and 13th place out of 235! I’ll talk more about my thoughts on the jam later, as well as plans for updating the game. But I’m very happy I decided to do this jam, lots of great experiences were had, especially today!

We're nearing the end of the game jam! With all basic functions complete and 8 hours to spare, it's just about putting more work into sound design, improving visuals, and making the tasks more than "click the object".

Its day 2 of the 3 day game jam and I've got the basics squared away! The player will be sliding around their workspace, either by their own movement or an outside force predicted by the GPS. My favorite planned mechanic is having to answer the phone while sliding across.
