A lot of people really really liked the very scribbly art style of the demo, even though a good chunk of it was just placeholder material LOL I've been redrawing more backgrounds, trying to strike a balance between polished & sketchy, I think the game looks Very Good in its current state

I keep coming across cases where I mishear a lyric and genuinely think my misheard version is superior to the real one. The most recent case is in Radiohead’s “Lift”. I thought the line was “a face you barely loved”, but today I learned that it’s apparently “the fish are belly up”. What the hell?!

Really grateful for the people who have been helping playtest the full game over the last few days. I am really, *really* happy with the game's reception. Mesmalie is 100% releasing this summer. Summer 2026! Mesmalie Summer! Hopefully I can deliver more details soon :)

Depending on when I announce my release, cosmic powers will ordain that another big indie release I'm looking forward to will be announced for that same date afterwards On the other hand I could take advantage of this to pick a perfect time for me to play this other release, not so bad in that case
