Final piece of BP grinding done, now I have Utawarerumono: Zan *actually* 100% complete! Even all of that grinding only added about 8 hours to the total playtime, and that was with me intentionally playing inefficiently so I could try out more character builds 😔 It's so good, but it's so short...

Now that I'm a few months removed from playing it, I think I can definitively say that Castlevania 64 was pretty good 👍👍👍

I know I haven't streamed since last Wednesday, there's a snowstorm in my area right now that's caused my electricity to flicker a few times over the weekend and I don't want that to happen mid-stream. Next stream will be once that ends, I'll make it an extra long stream too, probably.

Maybe I was wrong, maybe Uruuru & Saraana are better than Atuy... Biggest glass cannons of all time, getting unlucky with enemy targeting makes them borderline unusable, but if you can at least start a light-combo or build up enough zeal for a few chain-attacks they insta-wipe everything!

It's the end of the year, I wanna share my favorite games I played this year :) Despite being an extremely busy year I've played more games than any other individual year of my life (the reason why is because they were almost all *super* short, and I didn't put any time into MMOs this year)

It's really nice that Utawarerumono Zan is so short since I started during a time where I absolutely haven't had the time to play it consistently, but also fuuuuuck it's so good why is it already almost over ;-; It definitely doesn't overstay its welcome like WAS did, but I almost wish it did 😔

Mask of Deception's final 1/3rd has dragged out slightly longer than I expected (not necessarily in a bad way, the story itself is still great) I don't think I'll finish it before Monday. Either way we're finishing Utawarerumono Zan's story mode next stream, I can't delay it any further 😔

Utawarerumono Zan is sooooo fucking good! I know my last post was complaining about the Story Mode (and I stand by that, DO NOT play Zan unless you've already read Mask of Deception/don't care about story at all) but overall this game has been so refreshing after months of nonstop Warriors All-Stars

I wanted to do a short stream today, but I'm at a point in Utawarerumono where I REALLY don't wanna be spoiled on what happens next, so I'll make more MoD progress before next Zan stream. Unfortunately I don't have any other ongoing stream games so I guess I'll put off streaming until tomorrow 😔

Still reading through Mask of Deception, but I have made enough progress to be able to get a bit further into Utawarerumono Zan on stream tomorrow. Something I've realized though is that not only does Zan skip over large portions of the story, but it also changes some elements in very strange ways??

I'm trying to make progress in Mask of Deception before next Utawarerumono Zan stream that way I can get through more of Story Mode since most side-content is locked behind it anyways, and wow Zan's story really does just skip over everything not directly related to battles...

Utawarerumono Zan first thoughts: very good I like this game, well worth the wait :) Combat isn't as fluid feeling as most Koei musous, it's a bit more rigid but I think the difference in focus makes that feel much less bad than it would be in some other traditional musous-

I've been slightly quiet about Warriors All-Stars recently because I've been working on other things but I have still squeezed in some time for it, and I now only have 7 characters left! As long as events after max regard don't take too long, I'll definitely be done in time for Utawarerumono Zan Day

Castlevania: The Adventure ReBirth was definitely way better than the original Adventure, but also it's not even really a remake, it's an entirely different game with almost no similarities, and I'd still consider it the most average game in the entire series. Not a bad game, but a bit forgettable.

The MMO temptation has been hitting so hard recently, within the last week alone like 5 people I know have suddenly started mentioning FFXIV again... I DON'T HAVE THE TIME RIGHT NOW FOR TIME EATING MMO AAAAAAAA but I never even finished the post-Shadowbringers MSQ... maybe next year.

I was going to stream more Warriors All-Stars today, but I made enough progress on it recently that I think instead I'll take today as a break to work on some other things (it's nearing the end of the year so I'd like to wrap up some unrelated projects).

Despite internet issues, I did get to go back and finish Castlevania Chronicles on stream, somehow I've saved all of the best Classicvanias for last, this is tied with Rondo of Blood as my new favorite, maybe even above that game once I play Original Mode later!

Arnice and Sophie are complete, but much more importantly I finally understand what determines whether the player gets camera locked or not during special attack and hero skill animations! That may sound like a very minor discovery, but time spent in hero skill animations adds up a lot.

Back in my "juggling several projects, more than one of which has a deadline" phase again! I really need to get better at not letting 50 things pile up... I still plan to stream tomorrow, but Friday's *may* not happen. I also probably won't check here a ton for a few days to avoid distraction.
