Awawawa I may be juggling too much stuff lately, I've barely had any time to even make progress in DW4, let alone stream it >.< (It's pretty much entirely my own fault that I've been so busy btw, I took on too many personal projects.....)

A few months ago while I was still working through Warriors All-Stars I mentioned that I wanted to eventually stream at least 1 entry in all of the series that have crossover characters in that game, I think tomorrow I'll finally start that!

Originally I was kinda disappointed by how minor the character moveset changes were in Dynasty Warriors 4 compared to DW3, but I was wrong. Most characters are barely changed, with maybe 1 new strong-attack or some stat changes, but for a few characters that alone is enough to make them way better!

I'm not sure whether to stream today or not, because on one hand I do have the free time this morning to be able to, but I'm also now in the super boring part of Dynasty Warriors 4 where all I'm doing for the next 30 hours is grinding. Maybe now is the time to find another non-musou game to stream 🤔

Ok, finally I have every Tales stage and every rare item collected in Dynasty Warriors 4! Of course that doesn't include Xtreme Legends' items, but ngl, the item unlocks in this game were way too easy and boring, also very few of them are actually useful in my opinion lmao

I'm going through all of the rare items in Dynasty Warriors 4 now, and to be fair most of the rare item objectives in DW3 weren't amazing, but they feel even more lackluster in 4... A few are almost exactly the same as their requirements in 3, and the rest are either boring or slightly confusing.

I've been refraining from playing Dynasty Warriors 4 much off-stream until I finish all of Musou Mode on-stream, but as soon as that's done progress is gonna go by so much faster, from what I've gathered completing all of base DW4 (excluding Xtreme Legends) doesn't actually seem too time-consuming!

This is some of the saddest news I've heard all year, VNDB has been one of my favorite websites for over a decade, and the contributions its creator has had on the English speaking visual novel community are massive.

I'm really tempted to play the Oneechanbara Wii game now that it has an achievement set... It's not a musou right? It's made by Tamsoft but it's not a musou is it? I'm allowed to play it right, I wouldn't be breaking my own rules would I???

I've been a bit too busy lately to stream much, and that'll probably continue into next week. I'll try to stream when I get the chance but my available streaming times were already pretty strict, BUT I have still been doing stuff off-stream, namely a *lot* of archiving, big guidebook dump incoming:

Nanman Musou Mode was somehow even worse than I expected... I could go on for way too long about how bad Meng Huo is without his C6, so I already expected that to be hell, but despite being a really short Musou Mode with only 4 stages, somehow 2 of them were some of the worst stages in the game ;-;

I completely forgot that when I made my site last year I was originally going to host it through neocities. I ended up not doing that, but since I made the account I just had it redirect to the real page, but I guess neocities supports website comments, so uhhh... I can't respond to this lol 😭

I still have 3 extra musou mode campaigns left (Nanman, Yuan Shao, and Lu Bu, as well as the Xtreme Legends campaigns later) but we're now done with all 3 of the main DW4 campaigns! 🎉 Now I should be able to efficiently get *most* rare items before next stream SO WE'LL FINALLY HAVE A HORSE! Oopsies, I ended up having several real life things happen this week so I didn't really have the time to stream at all, I'll probably stream tomorrow, if not then Monday. However I did have the time to finish a few more musou guidebook scans, so I'll have more of those uploaded by tomorrow!

Most characters have the exact same kit, or at least mostly the same in Dynasty Warriors 4 as they did in DW3, and that's mostly fine because I thought they were overall really well designed characters, but it also means that the few characters that really needed some adjustments don't get them.

I've spent way too much time and brainpower in the last few days trying to deduce why exactly combat in MegaTagmension feels so much worse than in Neptunia U, despite sharing a lot of the same fundamentals, and after hours of labbing like a competitive FGC player I think I've solved the case!

It's definitely not under what I would consider the musou genre, so fortunately I don't have to 100% it, but Warriors: Abyss is surprisingly fun for a roguelike. I don't know how much more I'll stream it since it is kinda repetitive, but I'm glad I played it at least once. Also Lord Enma is a cutie!

I love Omega Force but why do all of their releases have to be so complicated ;-; The next musou I'm playing is DW4XL, but I originally wanted to play Warriors Orochi instead, the problem is that figuring out which is actually the best version of Warriors Orochi feels impossible.

I don't know why I didn't write a notes document on Utawarerumono: ZAN at all, yet for MegaTagmension Blanc I've somehow spent the last 4 hours writing a nearly 20 page set of detailed notes despite the game itself being incredibly uninteresting. I hate this game with a fucking PASSION!

3 days after starting, already all of Co-op Mode done, along with most achievements. All that's left are Story Mode, which I'll finish on-stream later this week, and a few miscellaneous achievements. This game is even shorter than expected and I could not be more happy!

I wanted to get a tiny bit of grinding done in MegaTagmension Blanc before next stream since the main story quests scale pretty quickly and any later unlocked characters all start at level 1, and while doing that I discovered THEY PUT FUCKING DAILIES IN THIS TERRIBLE GAME! WHY???

Final piece of BP grinding done, now I have Utawarerumono: Zan *actually* 100% complete! Even all of that grinding only added about 8 hours to the total playtime, and that was with me intentionally playing inefficiently so I could try out more character builds 😔 It's so good, but it's so short...

Now that I'm a few months removed from playing it, I think I can definitively say that Castlevania 64 was pretty good 👍👍👍

I know I haven't streamed since last Wednesday, there's a snowstorm in my area right now that's caused my electricity to flicker a few times over the weekend and I don't want that to happen mid-stream. Next stream will be once that ends, I'll make it an extra long stream too, probably.

And Utawarerumono: ZAN is complete!!! 😔 (except BP grinding but all actual content is complete) Absolutely fantastic game, my only real complaint is its short length, being less than 30 hours for 100% (and I don't only mean achievements, less than 30 for EVERYTHING), and that's while playing slowly.

I think I may be sick... ;-; I probably won't stream for the next few days until I'm better, but this is the perfect opportunity to work on my website instead! ...which I still haven't started even though I said I would over a week ago. Disgaea addiction is real and super evil 😔

Maybe I was wrong, maybe Uruuru & Saraana are better than Atuy... Biggest glass cannons of all time, getting unlucky with enemy targeting makes them borderline unusable, but if you can at least start a light-combo or build up enough zeal for a few chain-attacks they insta-wipe everything!

I am streaming today (my provider won't have an outage in the middle of stream like earlier this week I promise) but I'm pushing back stream start time until Serenity's stream is finished because he's my friend and I missed his return stream oopsies. Go watch my friend's stream until then :)
