21) We Love Katamari Reroll + Royal Reverie another super faithful remake, except this one also adds some bonus stages and new collectibles (the stickers), which is neat. it has the same added QoL that the first game's remake has, plus some. you really can't go wrong with it

20) We Love Katamari (PS2) a really nice sequel, it just takes the same core concept of the first game and expands on it with some new types of stages. the stages are also shorter which makes them easier to replay. I enjoyed it just as much as the first game

I’ve been reading through the Neptunia High School light novels since I know the zombies game is loosely based on them. all 5 volumes have been fan translated. they’re a good time! there are fun character interactions and a surprisingly direct connection to the superdimension. and of course, art!

I can see why We Love Katamari seems to be a fan favorite (or at least, the one I’ve heard the most about people liking). it has a good mix of both familiar feeling and novel environments, as well as the mission objectives. you can tell they had a lot of silly ideas they wanted to play around with

19) Etrange Overlord a real time action game full of a ton of soul. the story is extremely heartfelt, you can tell there was a lot of thought put into its messaging and themes, and it hits home. the gameplay is simple but varied enough with different characters/upgrades. it’s short but so sweet

just realized that my officially tracked 100%s (steam ribbons and platinum trophies) combine to over 100 now. etrange overlord was my 101st, so legend of dark witch 2 was my 100th. hell yeah

I knew that dengegiko and famitsu had appeared as chirper icons before action unleashed, but I didn't remember exactly where/what their first appearance was. while scrubbing mk2 footage for examples of chirper in general, lo and behold there's dengekiko, there from the start! just not by name

I’ve been able to play games significantly faster since starting my new job which is amazinggg and I’m very far ahead in terms of playing the games I’m going to make videos on so I can play other games between those but if I do that for too long I feel disconnected from my work and feel bad 😭

does Etrange Overlord just like... not have a title screen?? the only options when you're in the game are to load a save or close the game completely, and when you open it, you're immediately dropped into the save you were in before with no menu beforehand. absolutely bizarre decision

18) The Legend of Dark Witch Episode 2 -The Price of Desire- just as good as, if not better than, the first game. the upgrade system is more in depth with more options, the stages look nicer, and the bosses are just as good. love all the character designs as usual. peak fiction

was hanging with a friend and he wanted to introduce me to Holocure I proceeded to do one run, unlocked the Tower of Suffering side mode (true to its name), and just immediately spent the next couple hours clearing it. it's the rarest achievement in the game :3

this would have been much harder if the tres upgrade system in this game didn't let you make your damage output busted as hell, even without any syega upgrades on lmaooo also I think sola's weapons are just built different, especially drop bomb

17) Katamari Damacy Reroll an extremely faithful remake of the original. nearly everything is exactly the same, and the few bigger differences are for the better, like making it more bright/vibrant and making objects that get in front of the camera transparent so you can still see through them
