Every Sunday when I welcome folks to Judson I say that we are a Welcoming and Affirming church or pro LGBTQIA+ but I can't but think...shouldn't the norm be that all churches are welcoming and affirming and that churches that are not should have to give an explanation for their restrictive policies

This morning a retired pastor St. Paul pastor was at judson for worship. He recalled the restaurant we first had lunch at 13 years ago. I said that restaurant aint there no more. He replied, “yeah, but you and I are!” Being here - that’s real work!

Do you know that’s it’s free to ride a bike across the Stone Arch Bridge on a prom night and watch high schoolers walk back and forth across the bridge in shoes that neither fit or are comfortable and try to smile and pose for pictures…And it’s free!
