We have been drawn against Stanway Pegasus in the FA Cup. And while we don't often suffer club badge envy... Holy crap.

We've been very, very unlucky with injuries so far this season. Which is enormously frustrating for ourselves, but more importantly the players. Anyway. If any of you happen to be a WNL standard goalkeeper who is available for a few games please DM us. Unlikely, we know. But do spread the word! 😆

Not a great result for us today. 1-1 at half time, but injuries and bad luck meant we just couldn't go the distance. 5-2 win for our opponents in the end. So here is a video of Poppy today. She was here for us. Scritches are being given.

And very occasionally, it means that as a football club we get to send letters like this, to a young girl a thousand miles away, whose dad wanted to show her that the boys at school were wrong. That football is HER game too. And those moments feel as good as every cup win we've ever had. /4

Solidarity with Solihull Moors. This is sadly all too common an experience. Too often the choice is between going independent, like we did, and try and deal with all the financial and logistical challenges that brings. Or being treated as window-filler by your partnered men's club.

We agree (shocker, we know!) But there is also a darker side to this: female players consistently underplay their injuries (consciously or not). Bluntly: when you've grown up having to fight for the right to play, with boys saying you're 'too weak', you over-compensate. /1
