During the pandemic, 5 yrs ago, my son & his partner wanted to get married in our yard. He wore his dad's wedding outfit, she a white dress from the closet, we made a cake, friend gathered some flowers & we ordered takeout. This is what supporting our troops looks like in reality: A teacher at the local Jewish school got called up for reserve duty. The local rabbis have all volunteered to teach a class or two to fill in while he is away. Nothing glamorous, just simply stepping up.
