This morning on the Upper Derwent :- 57 Greylag, 350 Wigeon, 2 Kestrel, 750 Pinks, 1 Whitefront, 1 Common Buzzard, 2 CC Marsh Harriers, 12 Fieldfare, 250 Lapwing. @northyorksbirds.bsky.social

A walk around the local patch #dalbyforest was particularly quiet. Only a pair of Goshawks brightened the day. What was noteworthy was no Crossbills in any of the favoured areas. Other birders have noticed this to. They should be nesting in a few weeks. Where are they? @northyorksbirds.bsky.social
