Hey guys, quick life update: I just wanted to share that I'm unfortunately back on cancer treatments again. Thought it was all over a while ago but it's not over yet. I'm asking you guys for help cause right now I cannot sustain both the mod and the treatments so I have no choice but to to do this

I just remembered Radio the Universe. Probably one of my most anticipated games ever, but the last update was the demo over 2 years ago (which was amazing and only made me even more eager to see the full game). I hope it releases someday, and I also hope the developer is doing okay

In case you haven't played it yet, Severed Steel (one of the best bullet-time shooters around, IMO) just got a big 4th anniversary update, and it's *95% off* for the rest of the month. That puts it down to around one dollar. If you like the FPS genre in the slightest, you really should have this.

Fuck yes, they just announced a Sanabi DLC coming out soon, as well as Sanabi 2 later on. They'll create a new game before Sanabi 2, tho, which sounds cool as hell: "[...] an upcoming blood-soaked noir action game following an angel wielding a pickaxe, navigating a city trapped in a time loop."

I played the Lost Soul Aside demo and was fairly disappointed. Movement and camera are awful, and the combat is just alright. It feels good enough, but it's generic and way too flashy. It's like Nier Automata combat but with clunky movement and a a shitload of particle effects

Damn, Northern Journey is as good as people say, huh? I don't know why I'm surprised, but for some reason I had lower expectations for it. I was a fool. I hadn't enjoyed the exploration in a game as much since Lunacid (which reminds me that I should play Lunacid - Tears of the Moon at some point)

My favourite of all of Supergiant's games. Even moreso than Hades Part 3v3 wizard basketball sports drama visal novel, part action game, all reactive to player choice. Defeat is never the end (it's just sports!), and a lot of the best story arcs come from making mistakes. Crank that difficulty up!

There was an npc boss in Lies of P Overture that reminded me a lot of Thymesia's first real boss (not the tutorial one). Which makes me think, I really hope the Thymesia devs make another game with a similar or the same combat

On Lies of P Overture: I still haven't finished it, but so far, it's had an amazing duo boss, a great big creature boss, and two very good npc bosses (which sucked in the base game). Those devs are doing the hard mode of souls boss design and succeeding. I'm super impressed

Rolled credits on Nightreign beating all bosses solo at least once. I really loved it, and I'll definitely play more. But damn, there is so much untapped potential for bosses that are not in the game. There should be a Rykard in the volcano, ffs. Also please put Malenia and Maliketh somewhere :')

The last boss of Nine Sols has to be one of the best fights in the "sekiro-like" style of combat. My biggest complaint about this style of gameplay is that it often has a limited amount of depth, as every attack tends to have a clearly optimal way to punish it 1/2

I'm finally getting around to Nine Sols. So far, I fully agree with all the praise it's received. It feels great to play and the exploration and variety of the levels is great. I heard the later bosses are hard, so I'm eager to reach them as the 3 main bosses I've killed have been fun but easy.

I finished Clair Obscur a few days ago. Story, combat, and music were excellent. But oddly enough, I didn't like the art direction other than the creature design. My main complaint was that it felt overcrowded. No matter where I looked, even the sky was full of visual clutter...
