I don't know if it's one many people would be quick to suggest, but my weird pick for a boss they should put into Nightreign is Crystal Sages. I think it would be fun to play into the angle of chasing around the real one among a bunch of clones when you're coordinating with other players.

I was looking at Gladius and I feel like I've seen something very similar to this style of long trailing tufts of fur it has instead of ears on a fictional wolf before, but I've been unable to place it. Anyone happen to know examples of something like it?

Something I've thought would be fun would be a Relic effect that started you with a random Twisted Reincarnation from Libra and you had to adapt to it. It could be a bit of a problem in random matchmaking though, because you'd have no way to signal that you're like Strength Duchess or Faith Raider.

The Libra video was so much more work, just from how much extra data I had to go over to even be able to write the script, but I did enjoy some of the scenes I was able to do for it.

Libra has been one of the most peculiar bosses in not just Nightreign, but the entire Souls series, offering strange bargains to even his foes. Naturally his Everdark form added to this, but in a way that's been both surprising and somewhat divisive. youtu.be/B85HOQMKsYo

Kind of a surprise, but also kind of not a surprise. Of all the properties to get an adaptation, Sekiro might have felt like an underdog in terms of popularity, but it has the advantage of a defined protagonist and clearer narrative direction. I don't know how to datamine an anime though.

After finally getting to do a Grafted Blade Greatsword run, it occurred to me that there's something really funny about Nightreign making the Game of Thrones reference the best item you can get.

If this was going to happen it should've been for Maris, because then at least there's a joke to it.

Admittedly, Nightreign does manage to show up in the size chart even with Armored Core models though.

Someone asked why I didn't put the Ice Worm on the size chart with Maris and, aside from the obvious, I feel like it would've made it a bit lopsided.

I think, knowing that they didn't want to include the demigods in Nightreign, it still would have been funny to include a fight that is explicitly not Malenia.

I've been having kind of a hard time with videos lately, for various reasons, and the pseudo-demonetization thing has been rough, both financially and in terms of motivation. It seems like it is showing ads now, but the fact the problem and apparent solution all happened silently is pretty draining.

The Bed of Chaos should've been a boss that could appear at the bottom of the Crater in Nightreign. I think it would honestly be very funny fighting it with a jump button.

For some reason, the setting sun sometimes causes my door camera to think it saw someone. I'll get a notifications saying "person detected" and it's just a ball of fire, like it thinks Midra has come to visit.

I posted an image earlier with a particular panel of Berserk in it and I'll admit I hadn't really thought about everything that was going on in that panel until someone pointed it out, so I do apologize for that.

They should put Armored Warrior in Nightreign and you have to find something to shove him off of. Raider mains can cheese him with the Totem Stela.

I've been playing Bananza and it's pretty good so far. It feels like an extension of Nintendo's more modern "whatever works" approach to gameplay, but now even the level itself is negotiable. I was in an area where I needed an upgrade to continue, but I just punched a wall into a staircase instead.

I think it would be funny if they made a Legendary consumable that's a Hefty Throwing Pot that just does 999 Revive Damage.

I think it would be fun if they did a Shifting Earth where you use a series of Spiritstreams to leap up floating ruins into a chunk of Farum Azula. At the end you get to jump back down to Limveld and really make the most out of the lack of fall damage.

I think it would be fun if Nightreign had a modifier for expeditions where sometimes the enemies are just all the manserpents from across the series, or a Shifting Earth that's just Snake Town and they're all there.

Out of curiosity, did anyone else think Raider was a weird dragonform guy the first time they saw him?

Something that I think is really interesting about Nightreign is seeing how the playerbase has reacted to the Nightfarers themselves. There have always been Souls characters that people liked, but it feels like people see the Nightfarers as friends in a way that's different from previous games.

Nightreign has been able to layer many mechanics into each of the Nightlord fights, but Gnoster and Faurtis especially seem to have an almost absurd number of moving parts to their fight. And it turns out there may still even be something waiting within. youtu.be/mCdtADvzqQU

I was messing around and accidentally loaded things in a way where the regular map was still active above the Spirit Shelter and so the door to the Nightlord was covered by the Night's Tide. I feel like if I saw this ingame, I would be very worried about what's on the other side.

Between Sekiro and Nightreign, I think it's interesting to think about how FromSoftware has been playing around with the idea that the player is allowed to have multiple health bars too. An evident way to make combat more lethal but still fair is seemingly to sort of redefine what lethality means.

One of the ways Nightreign has built its combat around the team element is allowing players to help each other with the new Revive syatem. Given that combat is the primary focus of gameplay though, this help may take a bit of an unusual form. youtu.be/8HUe7JUs8_M

FromSoftware shared a series of images showing Stormveil Castle at various stages of development in a magazine, CGWorld issue 286, and when I look at it, I feel like I can understand why Dark Souls II is the way that it is. There are areas kind of at or around each of these stages of polish.

I think I need to delay the video by a day because while I technically have the video itself completely finished right now, I'm referencing a bunch of data that I expect people will want a spreadsheet for, and it's taking me a lot more time to finish it than I thought it would.

I'm having an interesting experience with the Nightreign videos, which is that they're underperforming with subscribers but are performing well on every other metric. So I guess there are still some longterm Souls fans who aren't fully sold on it yet.

So someone asked me to check and from what I can tell, Recluse's chest is seemingly not really any bigger than the Elden Ring player model's. It's all presentation, she just leans back and has a bit of lift in her bustline. We can easily see this by loading the other model on top of her.
