Great creative recharge today at my first life drawing session in ages with Hannah (spe.echka on IG) modelling at Waterloo Action Centre! Rusty as hell, so hopefully I can make it a more regular occurrence going forward. Mix of 2-20min poses, mostly working with graphite stick.

I think the hardest part about being an artist for me is that, I see all these artists making comics about their lives and I can’t do that. I can’t talk about mine publicly because my family has no anonymity. So I continue to do fanart instead and I feel homogenous with everything else out there

What's further frustrating is half of #3 is inked and just sitting in a drawer, so realistically only another two-three months of work was left to close out the series...

TBOAM was everything I wanted to be doing in comics, and it really took the wind out of my sails to drop it right as I was finding my stride. We had something special going, and I really hope we can it get cleared one day and finish it out - especially now that I'm back drawing comics again.

Vivid dream no.3. Last night I was swimming the full length of the world’s ocean. It was calm and peaceful. Predators were not scary, nor darkness. At some point I caught a squid. On my safe return my friends tried to kill it to study. I refused, but struggled to incorporate it in my old life

Imagine changing everything but the most core recognisable detail and marketing it as improvement. Colours, killed. Framing, killed. Original craftsmanship, killed. But I guess now you can watch how they missed the point from every angle.

Another dream. I was finding old ivory chess pieces in the tilled field of a French farmer. First a king. Large as my hand. Then a tiny pawn, small as the end of my pinky. They were the only two in tact. Every other was broken but I found them. Knight, was next. The others I couldn’t distinguish.

I dreamed i was running away from a robot the size of a roomba. Hid in a large field at dusk. In the field was a burrow. In the burrow I waited till I felt a wet nose at my hand. I feared it was a bear. It was a horse, strange and different looking. We bonded and we rode away together and felt safer

85% of Gaza is on the brink of death due to starvation. Israel could let aid in at any moment. And some people (like these men tried to do with me on Friday) are still trying to justify this atrocity. There is no justification. This could stop at any moment. End the blockade now.

Had a dream. Had braces. A bracket fell off between my gums. I’m fishing it out. No luck, but skin begins to flake off the roof of my mouth. I pull it out. Then my tongue falls off in my mouth, I remove it. I call the dream doc for a dream ambulance but no tongue. Can’t speak. Maybe I’ll draw it?
