For those of us trying to make #AffordableHousing a reality on the ground, we all have stories about how policies could be better and reach more people, but ultimately what we struggle with is resources that do not meet the scale of the need. You can't "efficiency" your way out of not enough

It's been an eventful 2025 on the #DisasterRecovery front in NC. Gov. Stein's first executive orders created a new office (GROW NC) and a new division (Community Revitalization) that will handle #HurricaneHelene recovery. Then HUD announced that NC's share of the DR allocation is ~$1.6B. #ncpol

Looks like the press release is going to drop tomorrow that North Carolina’s share of the federal disaster recovery package is $1.4B and Asheville’s is $225m. #HurricaneHelene #ncpol #ncga
