5 years in the making. The last conference I attended before Covid lockdown. My chapter is called “Who Gave You Permission?” Words uttered by someone trying to snatch it away and gatekeep? Or someone trying to find a sense of permission for themselves when it comes to writing about family.

I have another book coming out! Scholars and their Kin is an anthology of historians writing about family and the entanglements of colonial historiography. Published by university of Chicago press, it comes out in February.
