The grief we all carry in our bodies — reminds me so much of the first Trump term. All the Covid deaths, separating children from their parents and the normalizing of it. None of this is normal.

There is a threat to Minneapolis so extreme that *every child in the city* has been forced to stay home from school. That threat does not come from immigrants. There has only been one murder in Minneapolis in 2026. It was federal agents' killing of a 37 year-old US citizen/mother in her minivan.

It takes a special type of evil person to defame someone who was murdered for no reason. Think about the grieving family—her wife, her child, her parents. The President and his administration has defamed a poet and mother. It is so uncouth and cruel.

This is truly insane.

No agent of the state should be allowed to act like this. ICE agents shooting into vehicles 9 times! Abolish ICE forever.

It’s really hard to exist in this fascist country as a neurodivergent person with a strong sense of justice.

Every day our broken country finds new ways to break my heart.

We don't have to live like this.

The trauma this woman will face is so hard to process. I hope she finds a good grief therapist and a healing community of fellow grievers. I’m so sorry our country failed her and her wife so deeply.

THIS (But also this horrible President is incapable of anything connected to morality)

Don’t say: “there are no words.” Say: “I am so sorry you had to witness the brutal killing of your wife. It’s senseless, unfair, unjust and insane. I’m so sorry for your loss. I will sit with you in your grief.” Say: “tell me about your wife. What was she like?”

This is the right framing.

The Republican party first abandoned norms. Then they abandoned the Constitution and their duty to uphold it. And now they’ve abandoned reality. They lie even when their lies are easily proven wrong. The problem is so many people in this country don’t even know what is true anymore.
