Assigning this in my library leadership class for the last 3 years feels prescient?

I mean, in a country that prides itself on producing "leaders" and buying all their books and holding them up as avatars of all that is good, the two principal leadership habits we're currently seeing are 1. laying down like a coward at the first sign of trouble, or 2., going full fascist.

If the US government won’t pay its bills, it will devalue our currency. The whole money system is made up and based on faith in the government.

It’s important to know that a lot of productive activity is happening in person and offline, too. Not all of it can be broadcast online, but we’ve had hundreds of people showing up to our trainings, mobilizations, and more. Keep going. Tyranny is eroded by a sea of small acts. Everything matters.
